The idea of movie is good and the cast also, thanx GOD Shoaib mansoor did not cast typical Pakistani movie stars.Songs are very different and appealing.In all aspects the movie is a big hit………….i think by making such differnt movies we can improve a lot…………No more love stories and tragedies.

This paradox is resulting in great suffering for a forward looking Muslim.

i have watched it twice. i think legend done a legendary work. i hope next time he come with yet another amazing topic. he has done revival of cinema. i wish shoaib mansoor urge amna khan ahsan rahim,saqib malik, adnan malik, sohail javed,jami,umar anwar, nd all the best directors to do films and reform our society with their magics. we have rejected ashhhhh stupid hollywood cartoon “the last legion” only our own creative work can do us impress .i m confident these people can bring cinema to its highest point . Pakistanis desperately need these people on cinema.

Very nice movie for a change, two thumbs up for the director but 2 things really stuck me. 1. Is music really allowed??? i strongly believe no – but still i listen (if i am wrong than it should have been explained in the movie what kind of music is allowed) i am sure all of you agree with me that vulger poetry in music is certainly forbidden. 2. I listen to Quran daily and if you read Surah’ Baqarah, it clearly says “Man can marry woman from a different religion only when she converts to Islam”. So i believe that was wrong what they tried to prove in the movie. If anyone else have a valid point please feel free to tell me so we can all learn.

It’s a story about Mr. Junaid Jamshed ( Vital Signs), though some of the scenes in this movie were taken in States (America) and he (Mr. SM) tried his best to cover the real story. Mr. Shoib Mansoor is under scrutiny for depicting one’s story without his permission, lacking the real scenarios and placing the characters in different context. In general, clips, choreography, music, editing, background music, and camera work are pretty improved but still it’s not the end of this world, have to do a lot more specially in the field of special effects, sound track(exclusively Pakistani, not imported, we love to hear any Pakistani symphony), lighting, photography and characters. Geo television running so many commercials about this movie, Khuda kay Liye and invited all of the team on different programs that credit goes to Geo. I don’t like the script, producer, co-producer, casting director, writer, assistant writer, executive director, director of photography, executive director, and executive assistant. My suggestion for this movie is alright, it’s a OK movie. I w’d like to share my opinion with you and need some one who is educated in these respective fields as i mentioned above, so that Pakistani movies gets its original place as it was in 50’s, 60’s or early 70’s and at that time Pakistani movies compete with Indian film industry. Please try to find new cast, not models or Lollywood kind of characters. My suggestion before making a film consult some senior artist like Firdous Jamal, Ali Ejaz, Abid Ali, Mustafa Qureshi, Nadeem, and also get consultation from Javed jabbar. I remember when i was a kid Mr. javed Jabbar tried his best to bring a change in Pakistani film Industry but unfortunately people like to see Mujra and vulgar scenes, and ugly and old cast in their movies and rejected his philosophical approach . If, I’m not wrong, I w’d say that Mr. Javed Jabbar is the founder and pioneer for the revival of Pakistani Cinema though his efforts didn’t bring change but atleast people like me get some inspiration from him and he completely change my mind and also minds of many people who admire him and his work. I consider Mr. Shoib Mansoor is one of the followers of Mr. Javed jabbar or I w’d say the youngest student in the class with electronic media behind his back otherwise we are unable to see this movie nor remember him. Mr. Javed Jabbar stands by himself and i consider that ” the person who stands alone is the strongest man on Earth” and the pioneer. One more thing, don’t consider me that I’ve any relation with Mr. javed, I’m living in Chicago, and I went myself to Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, from where you got lots of Musician and artist for this movie, “Khuda Kay Liye”.
and in Islam dere is no concept of music…only dough (dafli) is allowed….it was wrong wt naseer-ud-din shah said in da end that Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w asked (k tmne gane wali b sath bheji hain kia)….its all wrong.
It was very surprising for me to note that the movie “Khuda Kay Liye” has to-date not been exhibited in any of the cinema theatres of North America.
It is an excellent movie. I have watched it twice. I have literally seen what a Block Buster movie this movie is. THere were long queues for the movie in cinema theatres all over Pakistan. People, even 80 year old granmas in their wheel chairs and crutches were seen standing outside the theatres in long queues for long hours so that they can get the ticket to see the movie.
The movie received standing ovations in all theatres. There were loud clappings and cheers at virtually all of the dialogues of the movie. The movie is the first insight into the strengths of film makers of Pakistan.
If such quality movies, on which real money and talent has been spent, are to make way within the Pakistani film industry then I foresee a revival of cinema and movie-going in Pakistan.
Such excellent movies, if they can be produced by Pakistanis, can give the Hindustani film industry a tough competition. In Hindustan majority of the movies now being made are copies of combination of Hollywood former and latest movies. (I wonder where is the Copy-Rights Act of USA film industry now…??!!)
This movie was banned in Hindustan. It has been banned out of sheer hindustani hippocracy that is evident in their every sphere of daily life.
But not allowing this superb movie to be screened in the Theatres of North America, depicts not just the malice towards Pakistan, but deep rooted fear of competition by the Hindustani cinema theatre controllers/owners in this part of the world. They fear that competition can still beat them!
However, for all you fans the movie is now available in North America on DVD and VCD at South Asian song stores especially the ones that are run by Pakistani owners. The hindustani shop owners are not willing to keep it. WOW WHAT HIPPOCRACY. AT one end they say we are liberal but their actions say that they are cowards!
Get the DVD and enjoy the real movie for a change.

I feel so sorry for all those who think this is a good movie, Especially the Muslims(ASTAGHFIRULLAH). The director Shoib Mansoor must think for a while about what he just did. Being a muslim, he went against the Muslims. If he was so curious of earning money, he could have raised other issues. But what could have he done, he saw $$$$$$$$$ coming in and sold his faith. Forgetting the fact that one day he has to die and will be answerable before GOD.
I am a Muslim. ALHAMD-U-LILLAH. And I am proud of it. I am here to clear a few misconception.
This film is used to show Islam as a crual religion through the use of the fact that Maulwees create talibs. and so the fact the OSAMA is a Talib. No way. Remember, you cant blaim the whole Islam religion just because a few extremist people are trying to use it for thier own pleasure. And so that, in no way means that Islam is a crual or a terrorist religion.
Every man with mere a beard on his face is not Maulwee or Sufi or an Aalim(representers of Islam) . This movie is anti-islam movie, just to support the american’s view about the Muslims. America wants that every single individual should think of Muslims and Islam as terror. You can see that it is a joint venture of Pakistan-India-USA. USA is just playing a cold war. Trying to get hold of some more portion on the world to have its monopoly. So it is finding faults in people and then applying those faults to Islam to blaim it. And that is why it has created people like USAMA BIN LADIN and ALQAIDA who are just puppits.
If america thinks its fighting against terrorism, then let me tell you something AMERICA, you are the real terrorist. If u think u can eliminate Islam from the face of the world by letting people like SHOIB MANSOOR(in making such movies) or people like Pervez Musharaf (rule Pakistan) to help you out, then I think you will end in vain.
To cap it all I would say that there is a huge diffenece between culture and religion. There might be some faults in our cultures, but not in ISLAM. Terrorists are not a part of Islam, they are a part of terrorism which has been created intentionally by America.
Let America do what it wants, cause they will decade but they wont be able to erdicate the great religion ISLAM and its followers. They are so tensed that they are just firing blindly. Soon they will chop their own fingers. But the shameful thing is that people like Shoib Mansoor who call themselves Muslims have done such a disgraced act.
This movie should be banned through out the Muslim Communities atleast.
I know people who are little bit of english type would say that “Mr.Bilal is not looking at the quality of the movie”. But what to do with the quality if it is representing fake facts. Just to help out the real extremists and terrorists i.e. America.

Dont think that since this movie is made a man named Shoib Mansoor, so it would be a good movie for Muslims. No doubt that there are areas in the movie which are based on cultural defects such as NOT LETTING GIRLS GO TO SCHOOL, GETTING THEM MARRIED WITHOUT THERE WISH and etc. Even Islam prohibits this. But what about the rest of the movie. At every stage it is showing that Muslims are terrorists which is damn false.

all my life 2 personalities dat really inspired me have been shoaib mansoor and junaid jamshed..
I always loved junaids songs n lyrics.
I never mised a minute of ne drama directed by shoaib mansoor…wether it was geetar 93 or abc.
i wont say dat im very pious man but as mentioned in so many msges, one thing i really want to tell and stress upon is ,as muslim no matter wat level of muslim u r ,one should have the courage to say wat is right and wat is wrong,though one may not follow the teachings of islam one should atleast respect them and must ve..i must repeat must have complete faith in the teachings of islam as told in Quran and Hadees.
as i mentioned earlier i have been always a fan of shoaib mansoor n jj…but i did know,i did feal so many times in my life that these all things are not what v have been taught in our religion..
coming back to the movie..i really wanted to watch it but for some reason i couldnt,i just couldnt so far..
its just that any movie basically based on religions somewat distracts my inner being if they DONT reflect or respect the religion in a way it should do (e.g divinci code though like by many ,i couldnt watch it coz concept doesnt go along wid teachings of islam)

only beacuse people like me, who dont have v strong faith ,can so very easily find an excuse to listen songs wenever they want to,if i used to listen it for 1 hr or so in a day,after watching i may say dats f9 yar go ahead with and may be listening for many hours if time allows..
some of the hadees that ive heard indicate that music is not considered right in islam..
so wat my instincts tell me is that it is wrong and thats it..it doesnt matter at all how much i like it or not!
we are not here to give our own views regarding religion,Almighty Allah who is our and whole universe creator,if he is saying something through his beloved Prophet(P.B.U.H),isnt it the final verdict!
one thing i couldnt resist mentioning, is in my opinion,Sunnah is something the best way of doing any thing as it was the way it was performed by our Prophet(P.B.U.H),as told by our creator ,and he was sent for the whole universe,until the day of judgement,his actions were loved by Allah,and its not as if they cant be followed as there are still numerous very good muslims following the right path and still following each and every Sunnah.
I dont have beard but i would hesitate to say religion is not in beard,what we should say Allah give us hidayat & courage ,so one day even we should be able to follow the path of our greatest Prophet Muhammad(PBUH).
and about Mullahs,now its NOT as if every mullah is right ,I wouldnt agree,but have we ever thought that the ‘tooti phooti’ namazaain that we pray today or the Quran that we recite was taught to us not by some intelectual professor,or high fi elegant diplomat..or in our world which is so very busy will we being doctors and engineers, able to find any time to teach our children reciting Holly Quran..these were taught by dose simple men that now v so disrecpectfully call mullahs or maulvis
I beleive a layman,who does respect and follow the faraiz in Islam,yet even not passed matric exam,in the love for Allah And Rasool,cry all night,say something or get terribly agitated if any thing is said against islam ( Im not mentioning about terrosrists who claim innocent lives thats unarguebly totally wrong) Im just telling abt an ordinary human being who is not able to contain with him self due to listening something which is against our religious values is far far better den highly educated intelectual person who may agree with the west,be diplomatic in saying something filthy said abt our values( soo commonly done)..you judge yourself who will be liked by Allah, aperson who will cry in agony by seeing something unislamic going on and asking for his help or a person who beacuse of worldy things may be diplomatic in his views..

It was the mid of june when I went to Mwanza, My hometown in North Tanzania (Africa) and watched the tailor of the movie. What i thought at the very first moment is that it will show us the truth about the suicide bombers, the attacks of the so-called Mujahids at the innocent people, the fightings among Muslim groups like FATAH and HAMAS in Palestine and all that wrong what MUSLIMS are doing which is not in ISLAM.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I am downloading it now and may be after 7 hours i will watch it.
In the mean-while I have read all the comments on this site and on some other sites, especially on Kashif Hafeez’s site http://www.kashifhafeez.com and I am really astonished to know that we are still going towards worse. I thought our people have realized the importance of media and are using it for the benefit of Islam but I did not know that still the DOORS of RAHMAH are yet to be opened. I do blame the people in the movie for not performing the individual job of not spreading such a word but still the real blame goes back to our society in which this culture is nourishing and this movie is nothing but a real face of the society.
My dear brothers and sisters lets start the charity at home and start changing ourselves, it is only then, when Allah will change what is happening around us.

Amazing that in these many years somebody published the best pakistani movie so far. I am proud that this movie was about musilim or even other to teach us about religion, that is like over there.

I have just returned from a show of the film. Cannot hold myself from singing paens about the film. WHAT A MOVIE–A MOVING MOVIE. Gives a realistic pic of the international and Islamic scne today. The US spy machine is no less than Gestapo and Hitler’s goons and McCarthyism in post 9/11 USA.. Ignoramuses have got unbridled power and are merrily and self-righteously busy in creating more jehadis than ever by Osama bin Laden. So are the jehadis in Pakistan making innocents turn religiuos zealots, fanatics. A great picturization of the social and cross-cultural assimilative melting pot of the current world. i watched the film “Khuda kay liye” like almost 6 months ago, and i have to say that the film had an impact on me positively. The film had many hidden morals and elements- if you think about it the film wasn’t actually only based on music, but also on FORCED MARRIAGES and the whole concept of JIHAD. I thought that as an 16 year old teenager born and brought up in London i could relate to this film a lot- previously i didn’t think covering my head meant alot however the film used situations were it explained why it was so important, not only that but people do actually misuse Islam negatively for purposes such as Forced marriages were they dont think that only Arranged marriages are permitted.
I also think that a lot of asians have a habbit of covering the truth rather than facing up to it. For example, there are many instances were asian parents would rather that there children wouldnt take drugs so they would force them to stay “back home” which would just make the children hate the parents. Or when parents find out that thhere daughter is or with an non- asian they would force them into a marriage or turn to honour killing.
Well anyway i persally believe that each person should watch the film before putting their points across.
i think this movie changed my idea about muslims and this movie given me and another view about islam and i dont think this movie tells that musilms are terrorists , every human can become terrorists under the pressure that to by such a world power usa
but finally i liked this movie and idea behind it and giving the world a new way to rethink over muslims

The above movie was shown in the KL Center for Malysian Tourism by the Paksitan High Commission. The invited guests were diplomats, business and education community. Just before the start of the movie, the a sportly looking and smartly dressed High Commissioner was right to say,”As any other movie, In the Name of God is a mix of fiction and truth, and accordingly you may make your own view point after watching it.” The arrangement could not be better than that, the staff were more or less friedly of the required level, but sometimes you had to have a feeling as if every one invited was a diplomat. An element of informality is suggested to keep a room for those non-diplomatic individuals on such ocasions. Also, the staff on duty was in a bit tighter or tense state of mind and was seem to be offering mechanic rather than heartfelt services. The first secretary was more outstanding and imressive. this movie is 2 bad. the idea shown in this movie is also not good. those peole have not knowledge about islam who think that this movie is good.
shoaib mansoor didn’t have any knowledge about Islam and i just hate that person.and that person should be killed.
